Download feature has never worked

I have paid a huge amount of money for a lifetime account.

About 1-2 times a year I try to use the download function in the android app and it has never worked not even once.

Every single time this leaves me bored out of my mind on a 10+ hour plane with nothing to watch.

Has anyone ever ever ever got this feature to work?

I’ve tried on 1Gb fibre connections. I’ve tried on 200 meg connections. I can get consistent bandwidth from the same server plex is installed on of 40 MB/s. I’ve tried starting the downloads multiple days in advance. I’ve tried doing short 20 min 720p episodes overnight.

But I’ve never been able to get a single file to download on my phone making this whole thing more or less useless to me as the only time I’m using my phone to watch media is when I am offline without any internet access.

Please please please can someone tell me how to get this basic feature to work?

Does anyone want to let me know how I can get the software I paid for to work?

Is there any after sales support whatsoever or do they just want to take my money and then leave me hanging?

Anyone. It’s works fine through the Web ui but obviously not much use if you can’t resume downloads.

However the app download doesn’t work on any of my 5 android devices even on a local network over wifi6.

Downloads never worked and are still simply not working at all.

Nobody at Plex cares about that unfortunately.

Only conciliation I can offer is Plexamp music downloads work OK on Android.

We need android logs from your device of it not working to look into it.
