Download function for Galaxy Tab S 8.4 is available, but nothing happens when trying to use it

Server Version#: 1.30.0.6486
Player Version#:Dec 20, 2022 update on Galaxy Tab S 8.4 Android version 5.0.2 Lollipop T700XXS1CR12

Hello. Apologies in advance if this is a noob question. I’ve gone through the forum and couldn’t find a problem similar enough to mine to be helpful.

When I tell Plex to download an item on my Galaxy Tab S 8.4 Android tablet, nothing happens. At all. No error, no icon telling me a download has started, let alone completed, and the download section always remains empty. In contrast, when using a laptop (not my server) as a player, I am able to download, an icon appears that it is downloading/has downloaded, and the item appears in the download tab.

Details of how I’m using my android device:
Using my main account with plex pass, not a managed account.
Using over WIFI on my local network… tablet has no cell service.
I am able to stream/view everything from the server without issue.
Have given Plex permission to access storage (can view local pictures and videos that are on the tablet).
In Plex mobile Settings, downloads are directed to go to internal drive, not external SD card.

I see that there are some problems out there with the download feature on Android, so for my sake, I hope I’m just doing something boneheaded, which, frankly, is often the case. If so, I apologize, but also thank you in advance for your help either way. Other than this, I’m absolutely in love with my Plex system.

Anyone? Bueller?

I have the same problem. Nothing happens when I click the download icon or select download from the menu.
I’m sure this was working a month ago.
Downloads work to my Android Motorola phone but not Galaxy Tab S?

Any ideas?
