I have a plex subscription (monthly plex pass) and I am using a macbook, iphone or ipad. I can view all the movies but the download icon is not visible on any of the apps. Does anyone know where I can find it?

Are you accessing your own server or a shared server? You should automatically be able to Download from your own server. For a shared server, the server owner must grant you permission.
If you are trying to download content provided by Plex, that is not downloadable.
