With the new download to device feature, which is replacing sync (which is going away at the end of the year and just… stopped working) do we have the ability to adjust the download quality by item?
For instance, if someone has tv shows of one quality (roughly 1080p) and movies of another (4K) with a separate play list to sync for those, I wouldn’t want the same quality selection for both. Having the ability to choose the quality on devices with limited space.
In addition, for items that are being transcoded, how do we see the state of that? I see nothing in the conversions section, but if I drop down the server list at the upper right I see that it’s still converting. That along with External Storage Not Found messages, likely because it’s still transcoding.
From outward appearances, Downloads isn’t ready yet, it’s feature incomplete… With sync going away at the end of 2021, what is the plan?
