my son and I both have Plex. i live on an island with slow internet so I would like to download from my son’s server to my server how can I do this.
streaming is no good.

Plex doesn’t support syncing media between servers (I suppose that’d be getting too close to the classic file sharing).
If you have a Plex Pass your son can allow you downloading media for offline playback to the desktop player (Plex for Mac/Linux/Windows) and the mobile apps.
