Hello!
I deleted alot of subtitles manually downloaded yesterday placed next to media files. However Plex apparently still sees them somehow so whenever a user starts a media with an old subtitle file. It just keeps loading forever and ever.
Line 30216: Sep 01, 2019 22:26:07.750 [7372] ERROR - Couldn't find the file to stream: J:\Tv-shows\Altered Carbon\Season 01\subs\Altered.Carbon.S01E03.WEBDL-1080p.x264.EAC3.webtiful.en.srt
Above is an error I found in the logs.
Is there any easy fix for this? - How do I delete theese subtitles from Plex? Inside plex picture of sub
Did you Refresh Metadata or re-scan the library after deleting the files? If you’ve done all that and the problem’s still there, go into the Settings/Troubleshooting area (Plex Web) and run Optimize Database and Clean Bundles.
Your “tv shows” library should point to J:\´Tv-shows alone.
Or are there other paths in there?
Edit your library, then go to the ‘Add Folder’ tab to verify this.
Is your drive pool healthy? Or are some drives not online?
Only if you changed the default metadata agent of your library.
If the show is recognized as the same show as before, every user’s “played” status will be retained.
The “danced” show will however appear as “recently added”.
That won’t work. Plex won’t delete anything if the root folder of a library is a) missing b) completely empty.
You’ll have to create a new folder Tv-shows and put one small file into it. A .txt file will do it.
