Downloads are deleted from device when user logs out

Issue: Items downloaded to the device are deleted when the user signs out and back in (this automatically happens when the app is updated). Is this a bug or an intended feature?

Every time I go into my downloads there is nothing there. I keep re-downloading items and they keep getting deleted (4 separate times now). I can’t rely on content actually being there when I have no other means of access. This makes the entire concept of downloading content to the device useless.

Attempted fixes: I have uninstalled and re-installed the app. I then downloaded content, signed out, and signed back in. The downloaded content was gone.

I should be the only entity deleting items from my device. Plex should not be automatically deleting content from my device whenever there is an update or a password change or any other reason a user might have to log out and back in. If this is an intended feature then it completely breaks the download feature by making it unreliable to the point of being completely useless.

I think there is supposed to be some prompt it you manually sign out if you want them to be deleted.

It should not be signing you out just by updating so that would be a bug. But that as not happened to me so wondering if some variable I am not thinking of. In any case I will make a bug report for this.
