New Download feature - download button doesn't do anything (iPadOS)

Hi,

I’ve enabled the new Download feature on iPadOS. When I go to a show / movie and click the download button, nothing happens.

I enabled this on Android yesterday and it worked fine.

Try completely closing the Plex app and reload. I’ve seen 1 report where changing that setting didn’t work until an app reload.

Thanks for the response. I tried that, and rebooting the iPad, and unfortunately it didn’t help.

I believe your device Operating system may not be supported. Could be wrong

Thanks, but the device is on iPadOS 14.6.

Go ahead and reload the app try to Download a single item, wait 30s, then grab the ios logs.

Ok, that cleared up that possible.

I have the exact same issue and could not make it work. I am on the latest OS. 14.7.1.

I had he same issue and the following fixed the button doing nothing for me:

  1. Removed the iphone app
  2. Reinstalled it
  3. Logged in again
  4. Enabled new download feature
  5. Restarted app (just to in case)
  6. Clicked download

This time when I clicked download I got a temporary notification at the bottom of the screen saying Download Scheduled.

Now I see in the main menu:
Downloads: Downloading 1 of 15 but its been sat there for minutes no progress. If I click into that I see the first track listed as Downloading… and the summary at the top of 0.0Kb 1.

Seems the new download method isn’t ready for release.

Hi - I have followed these exact steps myself. I see the movie transcode but it never downloads to the iPad. I will send you the logs.
