When I instigate a download from a remote network, I see the file move to downloads, can see the transcode occur, it then moves to the downloads section, and fails to download.
Usually you would see a download speed appear, but currently the download bar looks full but no download occurs.
this seems to be remote network specific. Working on some and not others.
Server shows as fully accessible.
Update:
if I were to switch to cellular, and retry download it works.
So perhaps a network issue. I have the Unifi UDM and the only thing that has changed recently is switching to Plusnet full fibre
Plex Media Server: Version 1.43.0.10492
• OS: MacOS 26.3
• Plex Pass: Lifetime
• Clients: iOS 226.2.0
• Downloads started from mobile apps (not web)
• Client is on different LAN as server
Your app ligs indicate it cannot make a secured connection to your server to perform the download. Your server logs say the certificate couldn’t be loaded. Try turning off PMS, delete the certificate file, restart PMS, try downloading again. It should grab a new certificate. If that doesn’t work, grab a new PMS log so I can check if the certificate worked. If it doesn’t, this may need a moderator to check your account.
Dive down into your Plex data folder, then into the subfolder Cache.
The file cert-v2.p12 is the certificate.
(Leave all the other files in there alone.)
Plex Media Server must be stopped when you do this.
On a Mac, the folder you actually want is: ~/Library/Caches/PlexMediaServer
or: /Users/username/Library/Caches/PlexMediaServer (it’s the same, but ~/ is shorthand for your user folder.)
