For a couple of weeks now, whenever I try to download a new Plex version from their website, the download is ridiculously slow. Less than 1 megabit per second kind of slow. There is an issue there.
I am 100% certain it’s not my end as I get blazing fast 500 mbit downloads everywhere else. Either Plex servers are overloaded or there is an issue with their content delivery network provider.
Can anyone confirm this?
I just downloaded 3 different installers (Windows, CentOS-64bit and Ubuntu-64bit) from the downloads section and they all downloaded in less than 5 seconds.
I have Verizon FiOS Gigabit as reference.
It’s possible that the issue is due to your ISP and something they are doing on their end or it could be something in the middle like the CDN. Not necessarily a Plex issue, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t a Plex issue.
