"Downloads on Cellular" & "Prefer Downloaded Media" settings not respected

Hi there,
I love Plex and Plexamp, I moved away from iTunes and WinAmp recently to express my new faith :slight_smile:

Now I have a problem with PlexAmp in iOS; maybe similar to another post I saw on Android. See below, reproducable and tested many times.

iOS 13.5
Plexamp 3.1.0
Multiple playlists downloaded over WiFi (total 1501 tracks)
Settings / Downloads
Quality : automatic
Downloads on Cellular : OFF
Prefer Downloaded Media : ALWAYS

I switched off my WiFi and only connect over 4G.

I specifically search a song which I know is part of my downloaded playlists. When I play it, it is downloaded over 4G and I see the progress bar as it starts to play.

Unless I do not understand the settings, I believe there is something wrong.

When did you download those playlists? If they were before v3.1 (IIRC), you’ll need to re-download, otherwise they are missing a bit of data needed to use them for that purpose.

I will do a Refresh of the Downloads.

And just to be super pedantic “Refresh All” won’t do it, you’ll need to delete and then recreate the downloads (sorry)
