I have realized that Plexamp is not playing downloaded songs locally but it is streaming them and pulling data from the server.
The whole point of having Plexamp and downloading songs is to avoid using cellular data. So this is seriously nonsense.
With what version of Plexamp and on what platform are you experiencing this? I’m currently traveling by train, playing a playlist from the downloads tab an for all I can see/tell, there’s no mobile data being used beyond some status updates to the server (history information)
Plexamp 3.8.2 for Android.
are you playing from downloads tab? do you have prefer downloads available?
i noticed (on a trip right now) that on ios there seems to be a bug preferring downloaded media when not starting from downloads and it’s on our list to investigate.
