Hi I recently purchased a yearly subscription. Once I did that I tried to download some movies and the download option is not available. Please help.

Are you attempting to download movies from a personal server (one you run or one you have access to through a friend/family member), or from Plex’s own free ad-supported movies? If you’re trying to download content from a personal server, make sure you’re using a supported device, and if you’re accessing someone else’s server, make sure they’ve granted you download permission.
If it’s Plex-provided content, that can’t be downloaded, even with a Plex Pass:

You would have to either set up a server with your own media files (Quick-Start & Step by Step Guides for Plex Media Server | Plex Support), or know a friend/family member that has their own server and have them invite you to join it. If you don’t have plans to start your own server and don’t know anyone else that has their own server, I’d probably reach out to billing support to see if you can get a refund (https://www.plex.tv/contact/?option=plex-pass-billing), since a Plex Pass doesn’t offer you any benefits if you aren’t using the personal media server part of Plex.
