On the support site, it’s stated “The Downloads feature requires an active Plex Pass subscription on the user account performing the Downloads action”. I have activated a Plex Pass. But I don’t find the download option, neither in the desktop app nor the mobile app. The latter has a download section where it’s stated “You can download media items from their detail screen or the context menu”. But how? The three dots icon only shows “Share”, “Watch Together” and “Add to queue”. A long press on the item brings out the context menu, where there are more options, but still no download.
How do I do it?
It sounds like you are on a page for our streaming content which cannot be downloaded. This is a movie from our free streaming for example not a Plex Media Server

Problem is, this is not specified anywhere, and I just subscribed to Plex Pass purposely to download and watch content offline. Can I request a refund?
It’s free to you but it is paid for by advertisements
it is specified that is for content from a server in the support doc you quoted the other line from. it is the first line in main body after the green tip you quoted

Honestly, it’s absolutely not clear. “A server” to me meant the server from which your streaming content comes from. You can’t assume any user to be knowleadgeable enough to know the difference without that being spelled out in indisputable terms.
It does not say that. The sentence in the support doc says “Plex Media Sever”. which the name of our server app you installed on your computer.

To be clear I understand it may be confusing and I can’t imagine there will be any issue getting a refund since you just got the Plex Pass.
