I have used Plex with Drobo as my media server for several years without issue. A few weeks ago, I had a drive failure, and Plex hasn’t been able to connect to Drobo since. I replaced the drive with no issue to any other uses, and assume that was the cause but don’t know for sure. I was using version 1.18.something. I didn’t realize that that we at 1.32, but it didn’t seem to matter since everything was working fine. Then I suddenly couldn’t get the media server to work, or install the update. So I deleted 1.18, and reinstalled fresh with the latest version 1.32 from the Plex site. The media server seems to have installed, but it keeps telling me to update. And, of course, it won’t install an update. I have removed and reinstalled several times using different versions of the media player (1.24, and 1.28, and 1.32 etc.), and am about ready to throw up my hands. If anyone has suggestions, that would be super helpful. I’m not technical, but do enjoy Plex and I’d prefer to continue doing so. Thanks!
