My plex can’t read movies with dts. The movie stopped all few seconds. I use NAS WD and the Xbox one. I had not this problem few month ago. Has someone the same problem?

DTS audio has to be transcoded by the Plex Media Server on your NAS.
I suspect it is not powerful enough to do so.

Is this new?? Because I also think I was able to play movies/series with DTS few month ago! Now all the movies I recently downloaded (all with DTS audio) are not playing smoothly…

DTS has always triggered a transcode as Microsoft has never released a DTS decoder for 3rd Party Apps. I also believe they haven’t released one for their own media player app. The Xbox can encode audio in DTS to transmit to a receiver/TV but no decoder.

If you could post your log when playing these new files, it would be extremely helpful. My hunch right now would be that something cropped up that is triggering the video to transcode instead of just the audio transcoding. To the best of my knowledge nothing has changed on the server side that causes extra transcoding, but at least the log will give us an exact answer.
I updated my Plex Server running on a Synology NAS to version 1.1.3 and now it’s working fine again… Strange.
I has never worked! DTS does not work with Plex and XBOX One! Lets hope a update comes with the xbox one s and we can get DTS and True-HD and ATMOS
