Dual Library (for 4K and 1080 files) and "On Deck" glitch

Hi everyone:

Awhile ago, I created a library of 4K HDR versions of certain movies that benefit from the added “oomph” (Avengers, Blade Runner 2049, etc.) I placed these in a separate library because I share my other libraries with friends, and while I can direct play 4K HDR files locally, transcoding them for play across the internet just kills my processor. Thus my 4K Library is kept private.

So basically, taking Avengers as an example, I have a 1080 version in my regular library, and then a separate 4K file for my 4K library.

What I’ve noticed, however, is when I watch the 4K version, my on-deck display on my Home screen actually links back to the 1080 library. Even when I mark the 4K version as watched (having just viewed like a 20 minute clip or something) the on-deck screen still displays a “Keep Watching” link for the 1080 version of the same film.

Anyone have similar issues if they’re running dual libraries? Any suggestions are appreciated.

Happy watching!

SM

Yes this is a known issue.

The only work around is to use a different metadata provider for both libraries.

Which ever library you change you need to rematch/refresh the metadata.
