First Attempt: Installed emplexer and setup network share type to be SMB. Play mode VOD. User/Pass correct.
Results: See the library and all the cover art, on attempting to play I get "Error: Format not supported"
Second Attempt: Changed Play mode to Dune
Results: See the library and all the cover art, on attempting to play I get "Playlist empty"
To check the dune can play my files I have added a network share natively to the dune and can play all the files I have attempted.
Last Attempt: Setup network share type to be HTTP. Play mode VOD.
Results: See the library and all the cover art, on attempting to play it works! However this take upwards of 45 seconds to start them movie.
I would like the speed of SMB if possible - any thoughts ??
Thanks
GS
gazing_south,
All your files and your Plex are on sinology?
If so try the following:
Share files via nfs.
Configure your emplexer to use nfs and accept the default.
In Synology go to Control Panel -> Shared Folder -> select your share -> select privileges -> nfs privileges -> configure as pictured below.
Just started using Emplexer and I really like it. I was so sick of DuneX and working with it's limitations. Thank you so much for developing this solution for Mac users (and everyone else, too}
I do have one issue, none of my shows are being marked as watched. I can get it to stick when using the pop-up menu, but it will not automatically mark. I do let the episode completely play. Any ideas why this is happening?
Unfortunately my expertise with that two languages are very small and insufficient to develop a full port of Plex.
But if any one like to make a full port, please let me now ;).

Mat,
You using the dune playback mode? on that mode i have a bug, sometimes don't mark your position during playback, and will solve that issue on a future release.
If you use vod playback mode, plese send-me your emplexer.log

Hello jaht,
That problem only happend with that files?
If possible, please reproduce this problem and send-me your emplexer.log
Thanks for getting back to me. After a bunch of fiddling around I did figure out it was the playback mode that was the culprit. I have it set on VOD playback now and it is marking the titles as read. I'm glad it's on the radar to fix this function in Dune playback.
The reason it was an issue is that on my player, with MKVs, I have a consistent lip-sync error that I have set-up a macro to deal with on my Harmony remote. In VOD mode the lip-sync function is accessed differently (not via the red button like in Dune mode) which broke my macro (and dropped the WAF considerably, which is the real issue). As it stands both those features are important to me and it appeared that I had to choose between them. Hopefully, when Dune mode is fixed, I'll get the best of both worlds.
Thanks for all your hard work.

I erased and installed again Emplexer and in HTTP Blu Ray RIP to MKV works fine, NFS worked one time with just One Share set up, after I setup the remaining shares it failed and emplexer restarted again.
Thank you very much for this excellent plugin! I have just read through this Thread and tried emplexer for a short time.
I was a DFI user for a long time. Really like the looks, but the manual update of the Movie-Database plus tons of wrong recognized movies just sucks!
Since I recently got a Synoglogy NAS with PLEX-Server, this is just what I was looking for! Vod-Playback over SMB is working flawlessly so far! :)
I was just wondering, if you are planning in adding some other, nice graphical surface tweaks like DFI offers! I think they are almost perfect...
That would be very impressive!
hello xeruza,
I'm really glad that emplexer is useful for some people.
I would like to add one nice interface, but the dune plugin system is very limited, i'm try to add some GUI using the HTML 5, but the html+javascript system has many bugs and limitations on playback (don't work well with mkv, don't work with isos, don't support multi audio, don't suport subtitles, and others)
Because of that I am focusing only on functionality rather than appearance.

Any news on the logs I posted a few days ago?
Thanks

Jaht,
Sorry for this delayed response.
I read your log but unfortunately I could not see anything that can tell me what is happening.
This problem only happens with these files? can you tell me the name of the file (exactly as they appear on your file system).
you can play other files over NFS?
If so these are other files in the same session plex?

The problem Only happens with any Blu Ray rip or DVD rip to MKV. I cleared System Storage, Blu-Ray Cache and Enabled Flash Storage, Outside Emplexer, using DuneX, all mkv's are working fine over SMB and NFS. I will reinstall Emplexer and test again. I'll let you know.
After Emplexer reinstall, using NFS, Blur Ray Rip to MKV played fine just once, after that no more MKV playback. BDMV folders play fine but when I try to play any MKV it takes me out of emplexer, the screen goes black and I am taken to the Dune Main Screen, If I try to play an MKV file again, same problem again and again.
I attached the new logs to see if they are of any help to you.
