A question about setting up Emplexer 2.0-B02.
I downloaded the zip file, made a dune_plugins folder in /root of the Dune and extracted the zip file into it. I got a folder "Emplexer 2.0" which I renamed to "Emplexer2". All as mentioned on the github site.
After restarting the Dune I got a Emplexer 2.0 application and also an icon in the settings folder. But whatever icon I tap "OK" on, nothing happens. What have I done wrong?
Another question: Emplexer is streaming the files in full resolution (same as source)? It's not transcoding?

To install the emplexer in a easy way, you can use that package https://github.com/newloran2/emplexer/blob/2dd9b79cf45cd5e150bcded12a2288960208ff20/dune_plugin_emplexer2.zip?raw=true.
you only need to download for a place accessible by your Dune and press enter in this package.
About how emplexer do reads the files: emplexer always uses direct play (over http, nfs or smb), in a future 2.0 release i'll add a "advanced configuration" to able user configure some conditions to do a transcoded session, but the default is direct play.

One remark: when I select a movie on the top or bottom row or on the left or right side, the side which is at the edge of the tv is not visible. I have per screen 3 rows of 7 movies.

The settings menu are no working in the current version, only in the next version i will add some features.
To update you have 2 alternatives:
The Dune auto update , The dune checks if the plugin has update, this feature does not work sometimes, but i will make a fix on that in a future release.
Manual install, after any release i'll announce it here, and post the url to the package, you only need to install that package.
About change the looks, the response are more or less, the plugin have a internal skin but for now i don't support external skins, in some point after the playback and configurations are more stable i will came back to skins and provide a way to use external skins, if you like to do some tests with the internal one tell-me and i explain how you do that.
That overscan problem was previously reported, i fixed it and will send it with the next release.

Yes,
Now v2 have less features than v1, but all relevant v1's features will be implemented in v2.
Some functionalities that v1 have and v2 not yet:
Playback Over nfs/smb: that feature will come on next release (and much more easy to configure).
Ask if you like to continue or play from begin: probably will come in the next release.
Some features that are present (or will be) in v2 and not in v1:
Control emplexer with official plex app: for now only play, pause and stop be present, but in a furure release all features wll be present.
Skins: V2 have a skin system and with that is much more easy to configure the interface, in a future release this feature will be improved and expose to every one.
Subtitle download: meta plugin to download subtitles, like in xmc (in a future release).
Some features that are present in v1 and v2 not will:
Vod playback: that are the default mode in v1, with that mode during the playback have some infos, like description, thumbnail and title, that mode change various behaviors of the default playback like subtitle select and remote keys funcionalities, becouse that this mode will be not present on v2 any more.

stehohrhase, you need to open the emplexer, after that it will show up as a player.
A question, which client do you use to do the test?
I tested with Plex for Android v3.2.7.106. This don’t show emplexer.
For a Second test, i take the iphone of my woman. On Plex for ios I can choose emplexer and start the movie.
While playback, i have stuttering, and forced subtitles are not switched on automatik. I hope this issue is gone, when nfs is possible. I hope, you can find, why plex-android don’t show emplexer.
I have one other question. Is it possible to enter username and password to access plexserver? I like to turn on this option in plex for lokal network, because kids in the houshold.
