Qccasionally I will have a problem with Emplexer where upon trying to play a file it reports "error: format is not supported". These are files that played fine previously. I tried power cycling the modem, power cycling my Dune, accessing files through NFS or SMB and then trying Emplexer again. Nothing seems to help. These same files will play fine when accessed though NFS or SMB file browser on the Dune. Is there some way to force Emplexer to restart, or resync or something. The files are typically MKV format.
Previously, after hours of mucking about eventually they start working again, but I haven't figured out the magik steps to get it to happen.

Sorry for my very long absence, the world cup in Brazil is taking 110% of my time.

thanks to the developer for the great solution. it is useful for me even in current stage (rel 1). some problem with playback from info screen only. checked on different. 303d, reinstall plugin too. so playback is always not working from info screen for any movies, but the same movie is playing perfectly from "the list" . i have re-created library. on pms, and checked with different. library. the error iam getting is "format no supporting" . pms 0.9.9.10.4 is runing on nas qnap, the last release, dune 303d have been updated to latest _b8 firmware. log attached. in the log the following events collected. 1. start plugin. 2. select "Movies" library. 3. select movie. 4 pressed play for playback. watching.
. 5. playbak stoped. 6. press info 7. enter from info screen for playback. getting format is no supporting. kindly sort it out. Happy WC and good luck to Brazil))

Ivklim, I can see the problem in your log.
The 1.0 version is frozen, i will not make any updates on that version, but i'll bring to 2.0 all features that 1.0 have.

Already added again the vod playback on emplexer 2.0, everything work well.
That new update brought some new undocumented features VERY interesting to plugin developers, i can't wait to come back emplexer development.
does emplexer 2.0 B03 plays external subs?
most of my series have subs but can't get them played over emplexer 2.
some work, i think those have been within the mkv and are not external...
Try to disable it in Settings -> Show Advanced Settings -> myPlex -> Require authentication on local networks.

Nice, I use now also the plex android and ipad apps with emplexer2. I hope for a nfs option in it later on, as emplexer1 works very good with it. I like to have all subtitles options as I now have with nfs and dune playback mode in emplexer1.

I have there 30Mbps download speed and an upload speed 20Mbps at home. I know emplexer doesn't do transcode yet. Or will I get stutter and buffering?
Should I setup there emplexer with my external ip adress from my home and the port specified in my plex server settings? It's not 32400 there, but a manually one which I also have forwarded in my router at home.

NFS will come on next release and with the new firmware version VodPlayback work's like a charm with emplexer and NFS.
For now for use the emplexer with a remote PMS you need to have access without password to that server https://support.plex.tv/hc/en-us/articles/201105343-Advanced-Server-Settings (allowedNetworks) or wait a little more, very soon i will add myPlex support and the emplexer will able to access remote servers.
This is awesome, thank you!! I have a Dune HD 3.0 which plays nearly everything beautiful at full quality (no transcode) with HD audio and am now able to use it just as a Chromecast basically with Plex from my iPhone/iPad. Very nice.
I have to execute emplexer each time I start my Dune. Is there a way to automatically have the Dune run emplexer? I intend to use it mostly from my iOS phone and would be much easier if my family didn't have to remember to start emplexer app first.
Looking forward to testing any upcoming enhancements whenever they're ready.
