I'm putting my Base3D on eBay. It's being replaced with an Intel NUC and will be running Openelec with Plex Home Theater. It's a little more money, but will do everything I want and way more. Plus getting that sexy PHT interface is definitely worth it. Thanks newloran for your work!

First of all, sorry to everyone about my months of absence.
In the recent months my work required much more time and attention on my part and i had a really little time to work with emplexer.
Is emplexer dying a slow death? Still no news about any updates.
While i have at last one dune working, the emplexer will not die.
I hope not. I use v1 almost every day and it works great. If PLEX gets a major update which requires emplexer to change I think we will be in "trouble".
I hope newloaran2 find time and motivation to work on emplexer again but life often gets in the way of this kind of "hobby" project.
Yes i see the PLEX get more complicated and useful in the last months, things like parental control and multiple users are very useful to every one (me included), and to use emplexer the user need to disable all these things (that is very bad).

I Agree, an official PHT are a best thing possible.
These project is a more or less one man project (Much people contribute with translations, and one Guy with the logo).
All job in these client is a reverse engineering and get much time and trouble to get it done.

the Intel NUC is a very good machine, this is a really good choise if you like to get the full power of PMS.
I think the HDI have a very nice Player but the support absence to the plugin developers, and the ausense of some basic things in Dune (Like https support) makes this exchange is a good choice.

2. It plays my ISO Blu-Ray fine. Even with wifi.
It can play True HD/DTS-HD with full BD menus. But you have to subscribe to Vidons modified kodi with a fee of £11.00 a year.
Vidons kodi is in early beta. At the moment i can't get True HD/DTS-HD to work. I'm waiting for a reply from vidon regarding this issue.
It's not perfect but better than the Dune. The customer support is excellent. I reported stutter/frame drop with 23.976 fps output. Within two weeks Minix released a firmware fix(f/w 005)

This neo x8 is a very capable player, I purchased one generic mk903v to use in my travels and i was very impressed with these new android players with kodi, i think these devices are a really valid replacement to dune if like me you use it primary to videos.
The android+kodi ambient is more flexible to do many interesting things, the hdi does not care about customers and even less to developers that could improve its platform.

I've installed latest release of Plex and since then my emplexer is malfunctioning. When I choose a category (i.e. Recently viewed, unwatched..) some icons are missing and others are duplicated. If you try to watch a movie named "Ja... B..wn" you'll watch another. If I use UPNP it works perfectly, I obtain the correct list per category and the right movie for the right title.
Do you have any idea? I really don't know how could I do.

thy say that Popcorn Hour A-410 can play anything and it hase the best picter and audo also but it lacks a bit support and the plex app for it also thats wahts hanging me not to buy it
As far as I know it can decode as well as pass through. I have mine connected to a receiver and it passes through both just fine. It plays everything I have thrown at. I went with the NUC5i3RYK and went with kodibuntu over openelec. It runs much better than openelec.
