I get this message even in the settings on my Dune HD so I just unable to setup the plugin. It is impossible to change neither server IP nor server port because of this message. Both webclient and Windows 8.1 client works like a charm.

where should I get this log file?

You need connect any flash drive to your dune and create folder dune_plugin_logs on it

I try to use this address because I want to access my server via Dune from internet, i.e. from outside of my local network. This works with all of my plex clients, excluding dpc.

unfortunately DPC is working only inside local network now, but I have a plans extend the functionality and have possibility works with remote servers

I'm wonder that this critical feature still not implemented, since ability to connect to media library from everywhere is a one of most important features of the Plex server. Every client application should be able to support it. Could you tell me please is dpc working using some L3 tunneling?

Nothing wonder, The main idea to create dpc was avoid http protocol because freezes and troubles with play BD and DVD content. About L3 tunnelling I think it's task for routers and other network equipment.

Update.

Fixed:

  • Plex long responds to the request "info" on some BD movies. Now there is an option in the settings allows you to receive a full or short (not complete list of actors / directors) version. Request a short version is always done quickly.
  • Fixed IP reset after standby mode.
  • Now it's always appears movie/show name instead file name In playback mode if press "info" button.

New:

  • Added seen/unseen screen style "like plex". It can be switched off in settings.
  • Added the function of manual and automatic mark seen/unseen movies / episodes. Except multi-serial film combined into a single folder. Plex doesn't give me this opportunity :(
  • Added new screens for movies and TV shows.
  • Added background into "info" screen. Can be selected art, black or not set in settings.
  • Added information on TV Shows screen. How many seasons, how many episodes and how many were seen.

  • Improve music library
  • make possible start watching from last position

Seems like an excellent update. Can’t wait to try it out when I get back home tomorrow.


Start watching from previous possession is a Plex key function so please make that an priority.

Just tried the latest update and it looks good. Great job jmper!

  1. Do you “tell” PMS when I file begins to play? I can’t see it on Trakt.tv but the trakt plugin isn’t always working so it’s not sure that it’s your client that is making the file being played not show up on trakt.tv

  2. When do you mark a file as watched? Is it after 100%, 90% or any other number?

2. I decided do it after 95%. if any proposals I can change it

I think 95% is ok. I will try it more this week and let you know if I feel 95 is to high.


Good that you already thinking of letting PMS know what file is being played so that the trakt plugin can update properly.

hello jmper,

I'm new with your Dune-plugin. I've downloaded your latest version. I've configured connections. I've installed an 8 GB USB key. When I choose Movies, or Cartoons or one of my category, all title appear without picture. just a grey rectangle with name inside. I can see INFO but when I choose play or Enter to watch It appears a dialog box showing "PlayList Empty"

Hi jmper!

After update to the newest build cr1.04 i can´t play any file - error message is “Format is not supported” - with build cr1.03 all works fine! Any idea?

Others than me which have same problem…“PLAYLIST EMPTY” error when trying to play a movie??
