Dune player

I have put my DiskStation somewhere else in my house and the ip address has changed. When I want to revise the settings in DPC setup, I get this error:

Plex server address http:// ip :32400 does not respond.

I know that since the ip has changed but how do I get into the settings?

Thanks

if you mean imorive info screen design - I can’t. It strictly defined by Dune. I can’t change even color and font size.

Ok, I see. I hardly use Plex for movies anyway so no big deal for me.

Setup → Applications → DPC Setup

That’s what I do and then I get the message I talked about.

I updated the app first.

Is problem solved?

Nope, problem not solved.
Maybe deleting and installing again will work? However that would be annoying.

Do you have saved settings in dpc.xml file?

I have a dpc.xml file. I see the wrong IP address in there. Can I change it manually with text edit?

Of course. Change IP to correct and load settings

I must have done something wrong. I opened the xml file into OS X text editor, made the IP changes and saved it again. Now I still get the same error. In the xml file the IP addresses are now correct but in the error it’s still the wrong IP.

I’ll check situation

Do you restore plugin settings after change dpc.xml?

What do you mean with “restore plugin”?
Here’s what I did.

I relocated the DiskStation which caused the new ip. I started the Dune and tried to open your app. I got the error message I mentioned earlier. I updated the app to the latest version. I tried again but got the error message, also when trying to change the settings. I changed the xml file by correcting the ip addresses. I tried to open the dpc settings but got the same error message. I shut down the Dune and restarted it but this had no effect.

Thanks for looking into it.

I mean press button “Restore” in plugin settings after change IP in dpc.xml file (just in case)

When I go into settings > miscellaneous > plug-ins I see the DunePlexCatalog but there is no option to restore, only to delete.

You don’t need path settings > miscellaneous > plug-ins. You have to go “settinngs > applications > DPC Setup”

When I do that I do not get a pop up menu.

What for you popup menu? just open DPC Setup and press “Restore” button

Maybe your DPC crashed. Just power cycle your Dune.

I can’t open DPC setup. When I enter I get the same error:

Plex server address http:// ip :32400 does not respond.

I shut down the Dune, unplugged it and put it on again but that didn’t help.
