Improvements:
Wow wow wow can’t wait to try it! I can’t believe I missed this yesterday as I was using DPC all afternoon. I’ll report back on the wake on lan function this week.
Thanks jmper!
Edit: I hope its ok, I posted a link here for users of Yadis. Which is a very popular media indexer for Dune. Unfortunately it is not being updated anymore. You’ll get allot more users soon jmper!

Hello!
Just download .zip file to dune and run. After go to setup -> applications -> DPC setup and make settings you need. especially you need set your connections. Any questions welcome
Hi there
I’m new
I was looking for some upgrades to my Dune Base 3.0 and found this wonderful app.
I installed it successfully, but i dont seem to be able to launch it.
Is it not compatible with Dune Base 3.0?
Or did i miss smth else in this thread that i have to install?
Got it. Installed DPC and it works.
Now the noob question:
Do I have to install Plex on my computer and make them communicate somehow?
Or it is enough to create an account on Plex website?
Well, i realized that probably i need to install a server somewhere, so installed it onto my pc.
Logged in, everything works.
I installed BBC channel. It also shows on my Dune (i did not manage to play it yet. It shows names of different shows but nothing plays)
Now i tried to create a folder for the movies (i store all of them in my Dune)
I created a folder on the Flex server on my pc.
But it seems that all the films need to be physically in that folder (meaning, not on Dune)
I choose BBC, then BBC One, then i get a list of days: Live, Highlights, Today, Yesterday, etc.
If i open Live i get black screen with a tiny clock on the top-left corner
If i choose any other, i get a list of TV features with little screenshots of them
If i choose any of them i get i dialog box saying “Playlist is empty. [OK]”
I have a good feeling about DPC, i just need to get it work

You mean Plex Media Server, PMS not DPC, on your NAS. Sure but most NAS doesn’t have the CPU power for Plex.
Yes, sorry, i meant installing PMS on NAS.
But buzzing PC in the same room is not a nice feature either
I saw Plex offers server download for Synology NAS. Anyone tried?
But the main question remains: Do my films have to be on the same PC where the PMS is installed? Or the PMS could somehow index files on the harddrive that is in DUNE
I have a Synology, like I said unless you have an Intel based CPU on your NAS don’t even think about any transcode. Not needed for the Dune but simply browsing poster art was slow. Its free to try if you want to.
Movies doesn’t have to be on the same PC as PMS. PMS on your PC can point to your NAS. I think you should read up on Plex. You will learn allot. Just not in this thread as it specific to the DPC plugin.

Hi
Unfortunately not all channels works on dune. Now I’m trying improve it.
You don’t necessary have all films physically on server. Just map you dune disk as network folder on server and select “storage” method in connection on DPC.
