Excuse me if this has already been answered, but is there a way to play BD isos and folders through the DPC (with the plex artwork, of course)? Or do I have to use Yadis or a similar style indexer for this? Can plex even scan BD files for the Dunes?
I had the same issue with “Playlist is empty”. After a discussion with jmper we came to the conclusion that it was the path to the server in the Connection setup that was wrong even though I could brows in my Plex movie library. I have a Synology which “normally” use the path “/volume1/disk1/Video/…”. When I removed “/volume1”, i.e. “/disk1/Video/…” everything worked fine.
Sorry for my question…I read al these posts, but it is still hard to find the right setting. (still playlist is empty)
I have Synology DS415+ with Dune HD-Max and the path to Plex is: /volume1/Plex/Library
In the DPC setup v1.093i see:
(on top: /volume1/Plex/Library)
Connection type: NFS
Protocol: UPD
Server: nas
Folder: (was empty)
By “Folder” i tried different path settings, but still no go to play a movie
Sorry, I read the instructions:
You need create folder “dune_plugin_logs” on first storage connected with your dune (like flash stick), start DPC, try to open any library and finally find file “dpc.log” inside new folder.
I have a harddisk in my Dune and made the dune_plugin_logs and try this also on front USB with en memory stick. Made the same folder in the memory stick. But there are no logs to find when i follow the instructions.

Hello, If you try start DPC when PMS is sleeping do you see message with counting down time?
No message with countdown. Pretty sure I had one with previous DPC version. I know the magic packet is being sent since if I wait after the connection error then click on the DPC Icon it loads. After a movie it still wakes up the PMS without any errors. This bug for me happens only only on the initial launch of DPC if PMS is sleeping.
what do you mean “refresh my Dune after power on so the DPC icon show up”?
On the Dune Sources screen where the DPC Icon is supposed to show up. With the remote I select POP Up Actions then select Refresh. Then the DPC Icon shows up. If I leave the Dune on the icon will stay. But once I turn the Dune off and back on I lose it.
Could you simulate situation with waking up slipping PMS and send me log file?
Log file sent.
Here is a 3rd bug I had since the first version of DPC. When the movie or series start to play it re-starts after 2 seconds of playing then its fine.
Dune has a memory of where you where at playing. How does it know to let DPC tell it where to start since this information is also stored in PMS. Is it conflicting?
Really starting to warm to this plugin. Very convenient and nothing can touch the quality of media playback that the Dune delivers. Perfect quality and video cadence every time.
So I had had a crash after watching Family guy, then going back up a couple menus and trying to access the “Recently Added” section. It was before midnight when I started watching and gone midnight when I’d finished, if that could make any difference (I’ve known it to before in Software!)
I am having the same problem with my synology and plex where I can browse movies but the movie fails to play due to path issues. When installing the plugin it won’t allow me to alter the path in anyway. I have a Synology which “normally” use the path "/volume1/disk1/Video/…
How do I alter the path. The dropdown in the plugin install box wont show anything.

After installing DPC you have to setup your connections.
From the Dune did you go to Set Up > Applications > DPC ?
I have scanned through this long discussion and it seem to concentrate mainly on v1, especially lately.
I do not mind the beta version and can provide feedback when needed, but if you are not planning on working on it to bring it to stable release, I guess I would go for V1.
Do you suggest to use v1 over v2?
I have Dune HD Smart D1, Synology NAS with Plex Server installed.

Thanks in advance.
Scratch that. I just realized you are not the one who developed emplexer, but rather created your own version. I will give it a try since emplexer development is not very active.
after a clear of the system storage I re-tried to setup the DPC plugin. I still have no connection. I have setup telnet to search and inspect the dpc.log and dpc.xml files. But I am asking what is the most convenient way to export the data from the player? I tried Samba or ftp but wasn’t successful.
Btw. jmpr I have the impression that 0.94 does not work well after initial install to the player, I had much trouble to setup the connections and see the unexpected results in dpc.xml. As well I didn’t get the “saved” tag on the left side of the connections for all connection but for the first.
I stepped back to 0.93. There this worked and the dpc.xml looked reasonable.
But as I wrote above: No connection. It just says operation timeout.
The dpc.xml is kind of a shadow file? It does not appear after a reboot. Only after a safe I find it on /D/dpc.xml.
I will upload logfile and configuration this evening, after figuring out how this can be done.
To get the log file, which is on a USB key on the Dune I just browse to it with my Windows PC which are on the same network. Pretty sure its via SMB protocol.
