Since I updated the Plex server on my Synology NAS yesterday I cant get emplexer to work…
Im getting this error msg: “The area you are trying to access is taking too long to respond, try again (0)”
Cant figure out how to fix this…

nm, i solved it by adding local ip’s in PMS.
(cant remenber if I had done that before thou…)
BUT… i would really like to get DPC working from my Synology NAS.
I get the “no playlist” error when I select movie/show…
have searched thru many pages back and cant find the answer for it…
thanks for checking it out. I did not have an online account just a Plex server. I just set one up to post my issue. I did enter my new online account info and the DPC does sign because I now see a sign out. I can verify and see the dune login on the website. So that part works but the other setup buttons still do not work so I cannot link to my home plex server. do you see anything else? I will send another log with DPC signed in. Can someone send me a dpc.xml file from one that is working with a home plex server? Maybe I can configure it without the setup working.
Well I managed to create a dpc.xml and now all the setup buttons are working and I can now see my plex movie wall. The only problem now is when I select a movie it display format not supported. I can play all the movies form the Dune player. any one run into this?
hi guys, i don’t know if this question has already been asked but i just want to make sure that what i am understanding is corrected.
On the github info page, it said:
“Play video files (mkv,mp4,avi,mpg, etc, play dvd folder, DVD ISO, Bluray ISO and BDMV are supported but without plex integration (don’t resume from plex) and only over nfs or smb.”
Does this mean my Dune HD will do all the transcoding or it will be done by the Plex Media Server and then transmitted to Dune HD? maybe it is just me but a NAS is a NAS, I don’t want to it to do any heavy work, just stores some movies and music.

First please note that DPC does not work with the new Dune Solo 4K players. jmper said he was close to having out a new version for the Solo, but I guess he is having trouble getting it to work.
For the other Dunes (Smart, Max, etc.), Plex will not transcode anything sent to the Dune. DPC will tell PLex to just send the URL to where Dune can find the media file which you are trying to play.
First of all DPC works like a dream on my Dune. I only have one question. I have my series download with 2 subtitles english and dutch. the english are written in subtitles.en.srt and the dutch are written in subtitles.srt it can only read the last one (so was dune as well without the DPC) so my question is there a option to have DPC read the .en.srt subtitles as well or just not ppossible
On my Dune the files play just fine with multiple srt files. The only difference all my srt files have the language added. Try to rename the Dutch subtitles to subtitle.nl.srt and see if both get recognized.
For emplexer 1, as soon as the install completes successfully and I try to launch, I get “impossible to launch” error. Then if i go to the applications page and try to run the application nothing happens at all.
For emplexer 2, I enter my server IP address and get the following error. “unhandled php plugin error call the php plugin vendor” I saw a couple people reported this error, and were told to try the current version, which I have. I don’t see anything further.
On my Plex server I have a note that says emplexer - there was a problem connecting to this player.
I also disable secure connections in Plex Server.
I have a Dune Smart D1, on firmware 150721_0135_b9.

While emplexer is a good product, I’d recommend Dune Plex Catalog ( https://dl.dropboxus…n_dpc_v1_09.zip ) Jmper the author of DPC is on this forum some and can help you if you have trouble with his product.
In the mean time you can try this (with any plugin with which you are having trouble )
De-initialize System Storage
Reformat the USB that you are using for system storage (SS needs a drive with nothing on it to initialize)
Re-initialize system storage
Try to reinstall DPC
If that doesn’t work, Repeat the above adding a step (2.a) to factory reset your dune.
Mostly bag fix and redesign some functions. Avoid crash in same cases with Sinology. New technique of download posters, faster than was before. Now it’s possible to update libraries directly from plugin (popup on library icon). Solo 4K support.
I still had the issue with the old version were instead of a countdown when walking up my PMS most of the time I get a connection error. Not sure why. It still wakes up my PMS so when I retry all is fine.

Didn’t work to well for me I had to revert back to previous version.
When launching DPC it says Connection for a long time. Then it loads but I get an error when trying to play anything. Not sure if its a fluke but I even had to reboot my router at home as it crashed it…
Waiting to see what everyone else experience before re-trying.
