Thanks for the reply. I figured the request was a little unusual - it’s more for making things easy for the kids - the less navigation they need to do, the less things that go wrong.
I’ll certainly add the Filters to remove one level of navigation.

Yes, as I know this is only for Plex on Solo
Hi, is it mean that, this version is made for Solo, or every Dune HD user can apply it. I would like to try with Hd530 lite and Synology DS216play.
Sorry for poor English, thank`s.
Hello, this plugin has to work for all Dune models
Hi jmper. So I will install “dune_plugin_dpc_v1.3a.zip” to my NAS DS216Play and “dune_plugin_emplexer.zip” to my Dune HD530 lite. Am I right, or I misunderstood things?
Quistion. Why can I choose your version (“dune_plugin_dpc_v1.3a.zip”) for NAS instead of current Plex version (“PlexMediaServer-1.3.3.3148-b38628e-arm7.spk”)? If install …dpc_v1.3a, it mustn’t allowe to uprade it time by time by Plex?
Sorry for LOL, it should have been a “smile” (my English), thank`s.

Sorry, I don’t know how I should delete my previous two comment. I red the all topic, so I realised I mix the tthings. Your “dune_plugin_dpc_v1.3a.zip” is an other kind of jukebox (like emplexer). This is that I have to install to my Dune. If I install the proper PMS from Plex, it will communicate with the DPC, what you develop. Is it correct?
I think I have to read back some parts of topic again during settings.
Thank’s.

Hello @bebit
Yes, you are right. DPC is just plugin for Dune like emplexer. You can choose which one to use.
Hello@jmper
I managed to set up PMS to NAS and your DPC to Dune. DPC can see PMS, there are scrolling lists with catalog pictures of movies , but when I start a movie, the DPC says “There is a fault during reading file info_Path: plugin_file://%…_play_list.m3U/movie title_Fault: No such file or directory”. I red the page 49 -you suggested - in these topic, but I do not understand the structure of setting the connections on DPC setup sreen. What should be the correct folder path? I reach my movies from PMS with DPC, it plays movies in folder view (UPnP), but not in catalog view. Anytway the playing movies from Synology to Dune works fine (by NFS).
Thank’s for all.
Thanks for the great DPC Plugin all the Time… I used on all my Dunes and last on the Solo 4K. May i ask if you plan any further development? This would be awesome!
Yes, I’m working now on new project of Plex client for Dune. I plan it would be more comprehensive. It already can work with remote servers and PlexHome. Also I would try to improve usability and how it looks.
Hi jmper,
I forgot to thanks for your DPC, it works fine. During these short times while I used it, I thougt perhaps it would be a good idea - if you agree - playing the sample movie starting it from the info page of a movie (“play sample” on the right side bottom). What is your opinion?
Thank you!
Hi bebit,
I’m not sure I clear understand “sample movie”. Do you mean trailers? if yes, DPC already can play it from info page, of course if you have it in description on Plex server
Yikes! OK, I’m a relative PLEX noobie; I mean…I barely have it hosted, on my unRAID server, and running on FireTV.
But I was thinking to myself: “self…surely there has to be a way, that the quite-powerful-for-its-day; Dune Smart D1 can run this thing”.
And someone pointed me here. 80 pages! What’s the gist, PLEXers; can be done…but is pretty tricky/involved? Or…it just took 80 pages, to sort out the science project; and now I can just ride on the backs, of those pioneers?
Hello jmper,
First of all, thanks you for all your effort.
I installed your last version of DPC, but unfortunately run into problems when I want to play the movie.
DPC connects succesfully to Plex but I get an errormesasage when trying to play the movie.
My setup: I have a PMS available on a raspberry pi2 and made some libraries, a library for every genre (movietype), PMS gets info over NFS from networkdisk on the Dune.
My Dune is a Prime 3.0 with connected harddisk (sata) and reachable on the network over NFS and SMB and ofcourse in the Dune itself.
When I play movies I get an errormessage ‘Playlist empty’ or ‘No such file or directory’. I tried all different kinds of connectiontypes in DPCsetup but none seems to work.
Please help.
Maybe I can sent you some DPC files (dpc.xml, logfile somewhere)
Thank you,
Maikel
Hi jmper,
I didn’t sent you the log-files, I was making the email and suddenly I thought of some more things to test, and after I looked through SSL on /tmp/mnt/storage I suddenly understand how and what to fill in at Connections in DPC-setup. So the title of the connection is the connection from Plex Server and the changable fields makes the connection to the mediafiles. So simple and logical once I understand.
I’m so happy, after one year after the first (and since then many) try I finally can use Plex to watch my movies and series.
Thanks again for all your efforts, this looks so cool and works like a charm ^:)^
