<Duplicate issue> PMP MacOS Bug - Spinning circle when viewing seasons of a show

** Duplicate issue, pick-up the thread here **

Server Version#: 1.21.4.4079 (running on Windows 10)
Player Version#: 1.28.0.1681-cc6e807c (running on MacOS)
MacOS Version#: 11.2.1 (MacBook Pro late 2016)

I have a fairly odd situation with navigation within the Plex Player app on MacOS. Basically if I go to open a show and see the seasons, I get the orange spinning circle and nothing else happens. If I restart the client (or re-boot the machine), it works for a little bit, then eventually I see the spinning circle again.

If I just click play on the series, the playback is fine no issue, the issue is just when I open a show to view the seasons/episodes. It doesn’t matter what show I open when the issue is occurring, I get the spinning orange circle.

If I open the player app on my iPad or iPhone, it works perfectly, no spinning circles at all.

I’ve tried removing the Plex app from my MacBook and re-adding, this didn’t make a difference.

Here is a screen shot of the circle, understand this isn’t very useful.

Seems like others have reported the same issue via Git - Plex Player not loading show data · Issue #1014 · plexinc/plex-media-player · GitHub

I have this too with “Plex for Mac” 1.28.0 (not PMP).

It’s fine in Plex Web.

Let’s consolidate over here: Can't access tv shows using Plex for Windows 1.27.2.1599
