The latest version breaks (1.28.0.1681-cc6e807c) my detailed viewing of any item in my library. I still have access to the items, but when trying to access the detailed view, PLEX Player does not render the information. This is particularly bad for trying to decide if a particular movie/episode is of interest as there is no way I can examine the description / actors / etc.

I recommend sticking with an earlier version. (I have 1.27.1.1571-2fface66 and it works). I don’t have 1.27.2.1599-7689068b anymore, so I can’t tell if that one works.

I notice the WEB player does function, so this may only be relevant to Windows.

Could you share what you mean by it’s not rendered?
I’m on the corresponding desktop client on macOS (using internally the same version of Plex Web to display the libraries)… there I’m not seeing this issue.
Maybe you can share a screenshot?!

I only get the bug on Windows Player version. If accessing via Mac, or via a Web browser, or via other devices, this may not be an issue for you.

Not rendering means that the App fails to display anything. I just get the little circling thing in the middle of the screen but nothing ever showed up.

Going to an earlier version solved it for me. Will be skipping that faulty version for sure.

Same here. Had to access my server via webbrowser where everything works.

Same problem here. Plex for Windows version 1.28.0.1681-cc6e807c will not open the details page of Movies or TV Shows. When you initially open Plex it works okay. You can click on a TV Show and it will display the seasons and then you click seasons to see episodes and then click an episode to see the details. Click on a Movie and you will get the details page. After a period of time (have not figured out just how long but looks to be an hour or so) when you click on a TV Show you get a blank page with the spinning wheel. Same thing happens on Movies. I have left the page up for more than an hour and still have spinning wheel. Other items such as Live TV work even when the TV Shows and Movies don’t. I have also noticed dashboard data does not populate. Found same problem with version 1.27.2.1599-7689068b. Reverted to version 1.27.1.1571-2fface66 and all seems to work okay.

I have the same issue with music for the last few versions though it is intermittent. It can sometimes be resolved by restarting the plex client but it keeps coming back.
From my library, If I click on an artist I don’t get the page showing the artist details and their albums.
From the Recommended page, If I click on an album I don’t get the page showing the album tracks.

Same symptom that others are reporting. No information returned and a spinning circle.
