When looking for duplicates, Plex searches for certain meta-data. However, when matching with personal media, this option doesn’t work; Other than exactly similar file name, there’s no link between different entries and duplicate entries can persist without any way to trace them.
Hence, some kind of general search method should be implemented to look for ‘title matches’ based on certain criteria.
