Is there a way for Plex to display multiple copies of the same movie? Example is I have DVD and BluRay rips added to my server. Some of those have directors cuts, a different edit or whatever… But it’s only showing one of them. Is there any way to make it show all versions copies of the same movie?
I saw that you can view the movies that have duplicates, but even there, it doesnt display the actual duplicate files.
Anyway to force Plex to show all duplicates? Thanks!!
If they are not matched to the same thing then they are not duplicates. I have two copies of Prometheus. Which is why it has the blue number 2 in the corner. And when you view get info it shows the two files.
Ok right… But I don’t understand how to seperate them. I have 2 copies of Mallrats (don’t judge me) and I get the number 2 in the upper left. But if I were to click play, it doesn’t allow me to choose which one. It just plays one of them.
I want them to show up as 2 seperate files so I can choose which one to play. How do I do that?
On a side note, I’m gonna heva to google Paradise edit of Promethus. I ■■■■■■■ love that movie!
In the options menu. It will only display the choices by resolution, not file name. Unfortunately there is no nice way to have it show things like Directors Cut at this time.
For Android TV it is in the “More” menu on the items preplay/summary screen. On Android mobile it is in the vertical ... menu on the preplay next to the sync/download button. I don’t have my Apple TV hooked up at the moment but I know it has the option.
Well looks like I answeredd my own question. I have a “split apart” option. That seperates them into displaying 2 seperate files. I assume I can just rename them from there (Original/ Directors cut)
