Hi I found at least 60 duplicate files being reported on the server, however on checking my folders there are no duplicates, but when I look at the files on the Plex server each one says 1 is unavailable. How can I get rid of these duplicates that don’t actually exist. I have read the article on finding and merging but I don’t seem to be able to find the setting to do that.

Didn’t help, in fact now I have even more duplicates. Started with 60 now have 78 after emptying the trash. However I don’t have these duplicate files on my hard drive. So I have no idea of why Plex has duplicated so many files.
Take a closer look at the Plex media info of such an item.
Are there 2 absolutely identical folders and file names listed or are they different in some way?
Thank you I finally worked it out, apparently I had linked the same folder twice.
Hi Otto, it’s not an issue now, when I discovered I had linked the folder twice, I unlinked one and all the duplicates are now gone.
