Duplicating a Server

I want to duplicate my Win 10 based Plex server to another Win 10 PC and continue to run them both for (manual) load balancing and for high availability purpose.
The media is on a Nas in my network, so the media path won’t change.
So I will follow this procedure (basically copy registry entries and Plex appdata folder) to copy the server,
then run the new one and change it’s friendly name. Would that be enough?
My concern is that what ever Plex is using to identify the servers is copied too,
and both servers will keep using the same internal-server-ID used by Plex.
Any thoughts?

Server Version#: 1.17.0.1709

No, you cannot use the same server ID on two different machines. This will cause all clients to get confused about to which server they need to connect.

Sounds like for load balancing it would be better to do something with a reverse proxy perhaps?

Great. That was I was looking for: to reset the server ID on the copied-to server.

‘Load Balancing’ was probably overstating :-).
If someone complains having buffering, I refer him to the other server.
Anyway afaik Plex doesn’t support load balancing so I think reverse proxy can’t help.
