Hi, so I bought a couple UHD Blu-ray friendly drives (one internal, one external) and got them reading my UHD discs. Now I’m still pretty novice to all this stuff so forgive my ignorance. I started ripping some of my UHD movies using MakeMKV and keeping the bit for bit copy of that on my server. After playing some of them I realized Dolby Vision (DV) wasn’t playing on them just HDR. I also tested a while back playing them from another residence which didn’t work too well. So I’m hoping you guys can give me a DV MKV status update and if it’s worth it or not to rip them. I know there’s a feature request to get it going which I voted for. So what are you guys doing with your UHD DV movies?
