I’d like to request the ability to record a channel at a specific time. The guide isn’t getting my daily news show… and I have no way to record it every day other than manually that day. If I could say, record 6PM every week day, that would be awesome.

I’d been looking for this exact thing. Sports playoff game tomorrow night. Wasn’t in my guide and no way to record it. Speaking of Sports, I’m going to look for a thread in here specifically about recording live/sport events.

Hi KinoCharlino I see you have been answering a lot of posts gathering bug and feature requests. Does Plex plan on post this somewhere maybe in read only forum sticky or bug tracker link so people can see what is being looked at, worked on or at least acknowledged so there are not so many repeat/similar threads?

You caught me! We are increasing our efforts in tracking issues that are discussed in the forums, especially with the betas (such as DVR and Cloud). All of our issue and feature request tracking is currently done internally, though we’re trying to provide acknowledgement directly in the threads. For various reasons I won’t go into here, development isn’t publicized. We have been discussing ways to increase transparency but haven’t landed on anything specific just yet.

I support over 1000’s software developers in my current position as I run labs for a certain cable company and I get it.
A manual recording option would be very useful for me as well! Thanks for all your hard work.
I agree. As a relatively recent cord-cutter trying to replace with Plex, the inability to schedule a DVR recording for a show that I know the airing date and channel of is very frustrating.
1 year down - still hoping for manual recording options.
