Hi, I am new to Plex, and just trying to get it all setup and stable. I have installed it on a WD My Cloud Mirror and have a HDHomeRun Connect Tuner. After a couple of days of faffing around to get it setup, I noticed an update available, so I followed the link to download the latest version which installed okay - but then the Server kept crashing, and causing the NAS to become unresponsive and need to be rebooted. After checking the fine print, I realise that (due to the low power of my NAS) it could not support the latest version of Plex Server - so I had to go back to the version available via the WD Applications list (which is downloaded directly to the NAS using the NAS APP function). Then it was stable and seemed to work okay. I could view my media, Optimize it (using a second server as the NAS would just freeze if I tried to Optimise via the NAS), and have programs record. I noticed that some of the recordings were very blocky and pixelated. Having read some of the forums on the subject, it looks like there is an option to prevent it from Transcoding while recording, which may solve the problem - but now I have noticed the DVR & Live TV settings option has gone!! I can still record programs (but they are unwatchable) and view the Program Schedule and manage my recordings as expected…but I just cannot get to the Settings Option for DVY/Live TV.
Any ideas?
