If it’s really a difference in the XMLTV format then it should be easy to find… @BigWheel said that they can’t determine the cause so I’m assuming the plex EPG data is fine. Since I’m a software engineer myself, that’d be the first place I’d start to look, so I’m sure they’ve already looked at it.

I have a development build for Plex Media Server with a fix for the issue of not being able to schedule recordings for a specific team events. I can make this available to a few users to try and confirm the fix
Let me know the platform and build and I will provide the build
unRaid/Docker please.
sorry - not sure if there is a way to get development builds easily into a docker.
I should have been more precise in what I can offer
Linux/CentOS7+ 64bit?
sent you download for 64-bit rpm for linux
Seems to be working. There aren’t currently any Bears games coming up, but I added the Bills instead and it picked up the next game automatically.
Great - thank you
If you need another tester, I’m running on Synology DSM 7.1-42661 Update 4
This is great news. How long from a development build to a public build do these things usually take?
I’m running on a QNAP nas willing to help if needed
it would go into beta first and then public. Could be within 2-3 weeks into a beta.
Development build 1.28.4.6143 sent
Thank you for that fast response. With the new build I’ve been able to successfully schedule three different team passes for three different sports (NFL, College Football, MLS Soccer). The pending recordings now show in the DVR schedule, where it used to say something like “no upcoming airings found”.
Can confirm it appears to work for both MLB and NFL.
Thanks for the quick fix. Any chance this could be fast tracked? NFL opening day is just around the corner.
Debian 9 x86_64
Thanks! Installed and looks like it’s picking up my scheduled team for next week!
Any idea when this will be available in the next official build?
I expect this to be released in Plex Media Server 1.29.1 - which is the version after the next one to be released
