I’m wondering why the DVR can’t always get the name of the TV show correct when recording. For instance, I’ve been recording the old 60’s TV show “Ironside” for a while now. Only one season is in the folder called “Ironside”. There is also a folder called “ronside”, once called “onside” and one called “nside”. I’ve seen this happen with multiple shows where the DVR creates multiple folders for the same show with leading characters missing on multiple folders. It’s been happening across multiple PMS versions for as long as I’ve had the DVR running ( 2-3 years at least). Doesn’t seem to cause a playback problem except I occasionally have had to “fix match” on one or more listings, but it makes the folder structure a nightmare when I try to find various episodes.
Am I really the only person with this issue? Hard to believe.
This has been reported before, but I’m not sure there was a documented solution (it seemed to resolve itself):
There was some discussion of which folder paths were added to the library in that thread, but I’m not sure that came to anything. The reporter was using a mapped network drive in that particular case, with the bare drive letter assigned to the library rather than using a folder as recommended.
I’m using a mapped network drive with the bare drive letter as the library root.
