DVR Digital Devices IPTV

Hello,
i have an iptv device (Digital Devices) and would like to know which iptv devices are compatible with Plex?

Best regards

Plex does not support IPTV.

I wonder myself, because I use a Digital Devices IPTV Networktuner.

I thought HD Homerun is an IPTV Tuner, too?

No, the HD Homerun devices work with either an over the air antenna or a cable card and your cable provider. They offer their own free channels through IPTV that can be accessed through the HD Homerun devices. Plex does not have access to those.

Thank you a lot!

If your device can emulate a Silicon Dust HD Homerun tuner, you can use it with Plex.
I understand there is software out there which can do it, if the tuner cannot do it on its own.

Thank you, ok!

I have the Digital Devices Tuner, but i would like to buy HDHomerun Expand.

Do i need, to watch with Plex TV, cable TV, is there any card recommended, or is it easy to plug ´n´play?

Sorry, no experience with that. I understand it depends mainly on the cable operator and the encryption they use. Whether they set the “encrypted” flag in a stream (Plex doesn’t touch these) and whether you can use one card to decrypt more than one channels concurrently.

Can i use 2 TV Tuners, also HD Homerun AND Digital Devices on Plex?

You can add more than one tuner devices to Plex. However, as of yet they all must run the same “channel bouquet”, so you can have a single source for all the different channels you receive.
Further difficulties may arise if you get the same channel from different time zones, so that their scheduled times are different.

I cannot tell you anything about the compatibility of Digital Devices and Plex, apart from the above.

Thank you, for your messages!

Stay safe!

Best regards
