Please explain to me why a simple OTA tuner cannot be used with Plex Live TV. Something like an IVIEW-3200STB Multimedia Converter Box or an older HDHomeRun. Not as a DVR but simply to view streaming video.

If you’re asking why such a limited amount, then my educated guess is because TV/DVR is new to Plex, is still maturing, and likely those devices have an easier, overall newer/standardized API to program for, and/or are capable of being used with multiple operating systems that Plex supports (and again, don’t require different ways to communicate to the devices for each OS…one API)
