DVR - EPG Guide Setup - Range

When setting up the Live TV DVR it asks for your postal code. I have found that the EPG guide does not return the channels to cover the area available. Tried various postal codes around the area but it appears the radius it uses is not large enough to collect all the channels available.

Is it possible to adjust this range or at least be able to provide more than one postal code so it can collect all the channels?

The antenna being used is a Channel Master ExtremeAntenna80 ( 80 mile ) with an amplifier that gives an extra 20 miles.

Alternatively, is there a way to manually add in the missing channels so it is included in the EPG refresh?

Unfortunately, no. Using the Zip code just helps us better match your location with list of the channels that are provided to us from our source. The lists are premade, it’s not scanning a giant database and combining the channels. We don’t have a way to combine multiple lists or to manually add them yourself.

Is it possible to submit a ticket to your source to advise that the postal code for a given area is not covering a large enough area? Basically I am stuck losing channels in Plex because if I house my actual postal code I lose access to about 7 channels of EPG data. If I use a postal code closer to those 7 channels I lose about 12 in the opposite direction. As you can imagine that is very frustrating.

I noticed there was an XML option. Would it be possible to use that to setup all the channels?

PM me the zip codes and the channels that are missing and we can forward it on.

If you know how to obtain/generate your own XMLTV data, you can use that yourself. No need to use our data.
