I’m running Plex on a Shield and just installed a new powered antenna w/ my HDhomerun connect. I’m picking up channels from over 50 miles away, but using my zipcode, I get a lot of unassigned channels w/rt EPG. Playing around with other zip codes on nocable.org and I find more complete listing of stations that match what I’m finding during the scan.
Any recommendations on adding the EPG to those extra stations that plex doesn’t seem to like based on my zipcode?
It leaves them unassigned. I can manually assign them, but only to stations it is expecting for my zipcode.
Currently, we don’t support combining zipcodes with our current guide data. You could sign up for Schedules Direct and build an XMLTV file with multiple zipcodes and import that.

Is there somewhere that explains how to do that?
Regardless, as I dig into this more, some of the channels are hit or miss; i need to focus on the closer in ones that are consistently stable.

I’d like to know how to do this too, 3 weeks with no good EPG data is getting frustrating.

I tried finding a zipcode that appeared to be more central to the picked up station. That worked a bit. Issue is that some of these channels don’t stay locked up, so recordings are sometimes useless / fail.
Many of the stations are 30+ miles away, so probably a lost cause to begin with. Need to focus on those closer channels that actually work and then deal with the EPG issues.
