I am trying to set up my Plex with a WinTV-HVR 950q
I have it up and running on the same computer that is running my plex media server
I am using Plex Version 1.9.4.4325
WinTV-HVR 950q Driver version 1.99.31088.0
windows 10 pro
I can watch live tv on the computer with the win tv app
When I try to get plex to find the wintv it sits at

Don’t see your device? Enter its network address manually
According to This post this tuner should work ok? Am I missing a step somewhere?

When I installed my 950q’s I did NOT install the WinTV application.
Can you verify there isn’t some kind of service added by the WinTV software that may be tying up the tuner(s)?
I’ve never used the WinTV apps, I used to work for SnapStream (they made BeyondTV), and we always told people to remove the WinTV app when we were getting contention issues.
You should just be able to plug in the tuners, update the driver through Windows Update and they should just “work”.
You could download the latest driver from Hauppauge’s website and try that as well.
Any progress with this? I’m having the EXACT same problem. Thank you.
PS I did not install the software, just the latest driver from the MFG.
No luck. I ended up buying a hdhomerun.

I also bought a antenna. It was super easy to set up. Just plugged it in. Connected it to my network and Plex saw it. Works great.
