I have a problem… I tried to ask for help but nobody even tried…
Generally spoken: I have a Windows PMS that has configured DVR feature and is working perfectly with the latest BETA 1.15… 707 of PMS.
The problem that I do have, is that the tuner hardware can only record one program at a time even though it has four tuners available. Reason for that: it only accepts one request per IP address.
My first question (question of understanding):
Is it possible to have more than one tuner hardware device to be configured for the same PMS?
Assuming that this indeed is possible, I need help to debug and probably fix my connection problem for my second (and third) tuner devices. They are in the list of community supported devices but I cannot add them to PMS.
My idea is to configure certain channels on each of the three tuner devices within PMS, so that different channels can be recorded by my PMS simultaneously.
AVM Fritz!Box 6490 Cable … it is working with my Windows PMS.
If I connect via web page to it, I can see 4 tuners, when I let PMS use it, it sees two tuners, but only one tuner can be used simultaneously - since the Fritz!OS firmware disallows more than one connection per IP address at the same time.
I have two other tuners calles
AVM Fritz!WLAN Repeater DVB-C
Effectively, it is the same tuner device as the AVM Fritz!Box 6490 Cable, using the same firmware (7.01 at the moment), it has two tuners.
It is connected via LAN cable to the same subnet as the router… I can ping it and I can use it as a tuner just as I can use my cable router as a tuner - but not within PMS.
Sorry I have zero experience with that device or setup. As it’s a “community supported device” it means somebody got it to work, but it’s not officially supported by PMS
Thank you. Since the AVM cable router is working and the firmware is the same, I’d like to speak to someone who wrote the detection code for that device or has some insights. What is tested for to discover a DVR tuner within Plex?
