DVR Recording issues

I have started having a problem with scheduled recordings. For example. next Wednesday there is a program called ‘Heathrow: Britain’s Busiest Airport S2:E4’. I can see it in the TV Guide (and it has a red recording icon) but when I look at my recordings it is not there. If I try to record it again I get the option to ‘cancel recording’.
My server is running on a Synology NAS.

Any ideas what is wrong?
What log file should I be looking at?

Screenshots of the recording options would be helpful. Either one of two things I would look at without the screenshots: 1) do you have the recording setup for New Airings Only or New and Repeat Airings. If New Airings Only and the show is not flagged in the guide data as “New” then it will not record. This setting is not for new episodes to your library. 2) Do you already have the episode in your library? Plex will not rerecord an existing episode unless the new recording is a higher resolution than the copy you have and you have the option to replace lower resolution recordings set in the advanced recording options.

You can look in the Plex Media Server log file to determine why Plex is not recording the episode.

Thanks, that has solved it - or it appears to have. I have been playing about with this episode myself to try and figure it all out so it is already in my library but I need to check a few more episodes.
