Argggh!!! THIS IS SO ANNOYING! It is honestly making me consider whether to bother continuing with Plex. I have had Plex and a Plex Pass for several years now and this issue has dogged my use for the entire time. I am amazed that it is STILL causing me (and others) problems as it renders the system completely unreliable.
It feels that almost every time I want to record something, I go to the Guide, select the program and set it to record. Everything appears to work ok and it shows on the Guide as being selected for recording. However, when I check the DVR Schedule… nothing. And needless to say, nothing gets recorded. I have reviewed topics on this forum multiple times and the threads start off with the same issue then veer off on to EPG issues and there never seems to be a resolution. I am really, really unhappy with this now as I am frequently missing shows that I really want to record, but the system is just so unreliable I can’t do it.
What is going on Plex??? Why is something this fundamental STILL a problem after years???
Does it appear on the recording priority list on the right-hand-side of the schedule? If it does and it says “no upcoming recordings” it’s because you already have the currently airing episodes in your library.

Thanks for the feedback - I’ve checked and it does appear in the “Recording Priority” list on the right hand side, and it does say “You have no recordings scheduled”, but it can’t already be in my library as I have never recorded this show before; it is the “Criterium du Dauphine” road cycling race that is happening on ITV4 and I haven’t recorded (or more correctly, tried to record) this show before now…
Well - that is interesting! Thanks for the tip JCHH - I have changed it to “New and Repeat Airings” and I now can see it in the D VR Schedule! That’s strange that it works for one but not the other. Which is a minor irritation, rather than a complete disaster, so MASSIVE thanks for replying and helping out with this! I will now wait with baited breath until 10pm this evening to see that it does in fact record
Hi - what I was meaning that it is strange that it works if I select the “New and Repeat Airings” option, but not the “New Airings only” option. And thanks for the help - I’ve posted things on here a few times and not had any luck with feedback or responses, so your assistance has really restored my faith in the forums!
