Has anyone else been experience issues with playback of recordings from LiveTV in the last several versions of the Plex Web clients?
Several versions ago, I started having problems playing back recorded TV shows, but only in Chrome using the web player. I find that every 20-30 seconds it would stutter and then skip forward about 5-10 seconds. However, the exact same recording has no issues playing back using the Apple TV plex app or the Windows Desktop Plex app.
This feels like an issue with the more recent Web Player versions and I have noted there have been a lot of updates to the Web player as of late.
The issue doesn’t seem to affect Live streaming via plex or playing back other content that I have.
Decided to do a little more testing and this seems to be an issue using Chromium based browsers like Google Chrome and Edge. Firefox plays perfectly smooth. I have also tested and disabled all extensions and used a clean profile to make sure it wasn’t an extension conflict and also ran it in Chrome inside my VMWare test environment which is stock Windows 11 with no 3rd party software other than Chrome and Firefox. It seems hard to understand why only I would have this problem and no one else is experiencing it?
is there anyone out there that does Live TV recordings on Plex and does playback in Chromium based browsers that could test this for me to see if it’s reproduceable?
