and the database zip please - and need to know which scheduled recording is not showing in the DVR Priority
You could also copy out the EPG database files and zip them and include together with the server main database zip (downloaded through Plex Web Troubleshooting button)

Looking at the schedule for next 14 days for Seven News on Channel 70, I found a problem with the gracenote data where they are using two different show identifiers - in next 14 days the airing for Friday 7th July at 6pm AEST will probably get missed because it has a different identifier from the rest
ok the problem seems very reproducible at my end. I had some recordings scheduled for tomorrow (MSNBC for Chris Hayes). I upgraded back to .7210 and added in another MSNBC Show for tomorrow morning (Andrea Mitchell Reports) and it does exactly the same problem which is Andre Mitchell does not show up for the DVR schedule tomorrow, and only appears at the next occurrence (which is in a few days and delayed from daily due to USA holidays). Everytime I have seen that happen, when it does eventually get to the next occurrence in the DVR schedule, it doesnāt actually record at all.
Next, I left the newly created Andrea Mitchell recording under .7210 that was not showing up in the DVR schedule until this Thursday and rolled back to .7195 and Andrea Mitchell immediately appears in Today/Tomorrows DVR schedule slot.
Iāll DM you the logs I just took while on .7210ā¦hopefully thatās enough? Another thing I noticed about this last week, is that recordings that were already setup seemed to keep recording, but any newly created repeat recordings didnāt work.
One off recordings on .7210 seemed to be fine as well.
That anomally in the gracenote data, Plex Media Server got round it by merging the two identifiers - so the cause is different
Jul 03, 2023 04:31:08.070 [140499946056504] DEBUG - EPG: Found a dupe show 'Seven News' with a different GUID.
Did you lose any scheduled recordings for other scheduled shows ?
The logs show these as scheduled but then at some point they no longer show up in the logs as to be recorded at these times
Aside from Seven News - was there a similar issue with these others ?

I will need to investigate further and try to reproduce the issue
DVR Setup Post Code/Lineup name / Show name/ Airings
and please download the Plex Media Server database and send me the zip privately by PM (you will probably need to upload externally and send me a link) - also please copy out the EPG database files and zip and attach - The database files would be in the Plex Media Server application data within folder Plex Media Server\Plug-in Support\Databases and the EPG db file names would be
and Server logs with debug enabled beforehand - captured 5 minutes after completing a DVR Guide Refresh
The ones I am investigating are in regions with timezones of UTC+10 and UTC+12 and i would like to eliminate the possibility of this being a timezone issue
not sure what is going on but now I am unable to record any 7NEWS at 6pm. Even if itās scheduled for next day it wonāt record. Deleting the schedule for the show and recreating doesnāt fix it, strangely enough even when I delete the scheduling and re-create it, it remember my previous settings like how many shows to keep
Thatās exactly the problem I have on .7210 @triks_melb
Are you still on .7210? I recommend you roll back to 7195. .7210 is a beta release and there is definitely something not right with itā¦at least for those of us in timezones >+9 UTC it seems
OK yeah you are right, .7210 is Beta release. When I setup automatic updates on Linux I didnāt realise āPlex Passā = Beta - Iāll just wait for them to get to the bottom of this but as mentioned earlier there is also an old underlying issue where the same show has different IDs as mentioned by @sa2000 in this post causing the schedule to miss shows as the IDs change.
That may be a factor - needs to be investigated when it arises again and this specific issue with 1.32.5.7210 is fixed
I have reproduced your issue with running my PC at timezones for Melbourne and Auckland and the next scheduled airing disappears when a guide refresh runs (i think within the UTC offset period) - I tested a refresh at 09:08 am Melbourne time for an airing at 18:00 that day and it disappeared. A refresh at 08:00 am Melbourne time did not affect the schedule for this show
I have passed the details to our server development team
Ah, progress! At least we know we are not crazy. Very curious to know what feature or what was added that created this issue? Can you share any details?
I am a bit late to this party but I updated to 1.32.5.7210 on the 9th of July and ever since the TDF daily highlights stopped recording. Initially, I thought it was a guide issue because of the rest day but then I thought I was going crazy. It would be in the schedule the night before but gone when it was meant to be recorded. I have downgraded to 1.32.4.7164 for the moment. I am watching this topic with interest to see if 1.32.5.7318 has resolved it before upgrading again.
