Channel number/Name: CHSN 62.2 and 62.3
I recently started recording OTA broadcasts to be able to watch Chicago White Sox baseball games. They’re shown on CHSN, Chicago Sports Network, either channel 62.2 or 62.3. Plex seems incapable of auto-recording them and usually picks a re-broadcast version of the game from later in the day, instead of the “new” live recording.
I’ve tried setting the recording series to be “All Chicago White Sox” events, tried “All MLB Baseball” events, toggled New only vs. New and Repeat broadcasts. The games air at varying times; some days 12pm, some days 1pm, some days 6:30pm, etc. - and maybe that’s confusing to Plex? I’ve also tried clicking on individual games in the Guide and setting it to record “This event,” but when I look in the DVR Schedule, it scheduled a re-airing of the game later that night, not the actual event I clicked on, unless I modify the recording to “Limit only to 1pm” or whatever time. I’ve also tried setting a recording for all games limited to channel 62.2, but then it won’t let me set another recording series limited to 62.3, so I’d end up missing some of the games either way.
It would be awful to have to manually set 160 recordings when this should be such a simple task. Thanks for any insights.
