I recently upgraded to latest version of Plex on a box dedicated to pulling programming from my HDHomeRun Prime. In prior version I used zap2xml to create xml data for the DVR and it worked great. Zap2xml continues to work fine, but unfortunately the xml data is rejected with error “Invalid or missing file”.
I have a recent saved version of the Zap2xml generated xml file, before my upgrade, and it is also rejected.
Then for fun I tried generating the xml from Schedules Direct via guide2go and mc2xml, and their output is also rejected.
I thought perhaps there might be a permissions problem but no permissions have changed and the files are readable to the world.
All I can see in the Plex Media Server log is messages indicating numerous channels were skipped because they don’t have a unique call sign. I’m out of ideas. Appreciate any help.
Oh, and using the built-in EPG data works. I just want to see if I can get better data.
Edit: My boot drives are USB flash drives, so I am able to switch to my old install easily. I did that and Plex has no problem reading (for example) the guide2go generated xml. The same xml (along with all the others) that is rejected in current Plex.
Thanks!
